Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-04-27.
These Terms of Service form a legally binding agreement between you (“Customer”, “you”) and LMTS DEVELOPMENT LTD (UK Companies House #17148125, “CloudBrowserAPI”, “we”, “us”) and govern your use of the CloudBrowserAPI website, dashboard and API at cloudbrowserapi.com and its subdomains (the “Service”).
By creating an account or sending any request to the Service you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms.
1. The Service
CloudBrowserAPI provides a cloud-hosted Chromium browser fleet accessible over WebSocket (Chrome DevTools Protocol) and HTTP (REST endpoints for screenshot, PDF, content, scrape). We also publish open-source Docker images that allow you to self-host the gateway under the Apache-2.0 licence.
2. Free tier
We currently offer a single free tier: 1,000 successful requests per calendar month, two concurrent browser sessions, and a 60-second hard cap per session. Stripe billing is not yet active — paid tiers and overage are advertised on the pricing page for transparency but cannot be purchased today. Until paid tiers go live, the Service is provided to you free of charge.
3. Account and security
You must provide a valid email address, verify it via the link we send you, and keep your password and API keys confidential. You are responsible for all activity originating from your account. Notify us immediately at security@cloudbrowserapi.com if you believe a key has been compromised.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any law of England and Wales, the European Union, the United States, or the country whose website you are accessing.
- Infringe intellectual-property rights, trade secrets, or privacy rights of any third party.
- Distribute malware, run denial-of-service attacks, or attempt to compromise other tenants’ isolation.
- Generate, host or transmit child sexual abuse material, terrorism content, or non-consensual intimate imagery.
- Bypass rate limits, share API keys with unrelated organisations, or resell raw API access without our written consent.
- Scrape sites in clear breach of their robots.txt or in a manner that imposes a disproportionate load on the target.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section without prior notice. Severe abuse will be reported to the relevant authorities.
5. Customer data and privacy
Our processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy and, for B2B customers, our Data Processing Addendum. By accepting these Terms you are also accepting the DPA where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to your use of the Service.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, the website and the open-source gateway are licensed, not sold. The hosted Service is provided under these Terms; the gateway source code is licensed separately under Apache-2.0 (see the LICENSE file in the public repository). All trademarks and logos of CloudBrowserAPI remain the property of LMTS DEVELOPMENT LTD.
7. Service availability
We aim for 99.5% monthly uptime on the free tier and publish a public status page at status.cloudbrowserapi.com. The free tier is provided “as is” with no service-level commitment beyond the published status numbers.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy of anti-bot bypass results, or availability of any specific browser version.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability under these Terms is capped at the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim or (b) GBP 100. Neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or data.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under English law (including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence).
10. Termination
You may close your account at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, fail to verify their email within 30 days of signup, or remain inactive for 12 consecutive months. On termination we delete account data within 30 days, subject to retention obligations described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of London, United Kingdom, except that consumers retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of their place of residence.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page with a “last updated” date. Material changes will be emailed to active customers at least 14 days before they take effect.
